piece by piece - preview of spring / summer 2010just a few days ago, TALBOT RUNHOF presented their spring / summer 2010 collection in paris. the location was the incredibly cool halle freyssinet, formerly a train repair station for the french railway system. the collection was aptly named "piece by piece" where johnny talbot and adrian runhof explored the idea of the "favorite piece." what is it that makes a favorite piece a favorite piece; the piece that you never want to give away? what is it that our customers expect of us? what can we do to excite them, to challenge them? the collection consisted of mainly dresses often made from a single piece of fabric; a combination of refined, graceful drapes and complex mathematical formulas. style.com, the internet's fashion bible, praised the cotton tweed series and it's manipulated/printed silk counterpart. also mentioned were the fushia evening gowns as potential hot sellers at top stores like bergdorf goodman, neiman marcus, eickhoff and unger. have a look at the pics and the video from the show or click on elle.de and have a look backstage. starting december 2009, the collection can be found in our flagship boutique in munich and naturally in the best fashion boutiques and department stores worldwide. |

premiere: TALBOT RUNHOF on stageon the 7th of november 2009 is the premiere performance of the ballet carmen from cayetano soto for the theater dortmund. TALBOT RUNHOF will also be premiering their first cooperation with a theatre company. cayetano soto, with his mix of classical ballet, modern dance and acrobatics, tells the story of passion, obsession and tragedy. with respect to the costumes, johnny talbot and adrian runhof remained true to their art using typical TALBOT RUNHOF elements, naturally with many interesting and unexpected twists, to define the characters. carmen runs through march 2010. for those of you who prefer opera, you might want to check out ulrich peters' production of leos janácek's "the makropulos case" premiering on the 19th of march 2010 at munich's staatstheater am gärtnerplatz where once again TALBOT RUNHOF was invited to design the costumes. |
